I am a doctoral candidate (ABD) at School of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of South Carolina. My research is focused on message features that drive public perception, engagement, and behavioral outcomes. I have rich experience in quantitative methods (e.g., experiments, surveys, content analysis), computational analysis (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, large-scale data analytics), psychophysiological methods (e.g., eye-tracking, galvanic skin response, facial expression, EEG), and qualitative methods (e.g., thematic analysis, in-depth interview, focus group). I am also committed to excellence in teaching. I have developed my teaching skills both in the classroom and on online platforms at the University of South Carolina. Especially, I have taught data analytics and skills-focused courses as an instructor of record, Social Media Marketing Strategies and Account Planning: Mining Insights.
My research has been well-recognized and visible nationally and internationally in peer-reviewed journals such as the Public Understanding of Science, International Journal of Public Opinion Research, Journal of Health Communication, American Journal of Health Behaviors, and Vaccines, as well as national and international conferences including ICA, AEJMC, and SEC. I have received two top-paper awards at conferences, both as sole author. Additionally, I have received the 2023 Breakthrough Graduate Scholar Award from the USC, multiple travel grants from AEJMC and ICA, and external grant funds as PI and Co-PI from Hacettepe University and SmartState Center for Healthcare Quality.During my spare time, I love to travel and tell stories of the places through pictures.
